TRAINEE AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS' (TAME) PROGRAM
 
TAME is a 3+1 year traineeship program comprising of classroom sessions and workshop practices at APR - Aviation Training Centre, and on-the-job training (OJT) at various aviation organizations for hands-on practical experience.

This intensive program will prepare the students to sit for the DCA LWTR (Licence Without Type Rating) examination, which is the pre-requisite qualification for an aircraft Type Rating endorsement.  Starting 2010, TAME program includes additional 1 year for EASA IR 66 'Bridging program' and B1 Licence Examination.

Currently, we have more than 170 trainees undergoing this program.
 
TRADES OFFERED :
i)Airframe & Engines - Aeroplane
ii) Airframe & Engines - Rotorcaft (Helicopter)
iii) Electrical & Instruments - Aeroplane
 
PRE-REQUISITE :
i) Age 18 - 25 years old
ii) Minimum SPM with strong Credit in English Language, Mathematics and any Science subject.  Graduates with Diploma/Degree may also apply.
iii) Physically and mentally fit with good eyesight, and not colour blind.
CLASS STRUCTURE :
In each semester, students will undergo both classroom sessions and OJT. 

i) Classroom and workshop sessions - Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
ii) OJT - Students are required to follow the working hours/shift patterns of the respective maintenance organisation, which may also include Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.

COURSE DURATION :
3 + 1 years (6 + 2 semesters). Full-time.
FEES :
RM 10,000.00 per student per semester for Semester 1 to 6 (Year 1 - 3)

RM 10,000.00 per student for Year 4.

GENERAL NOTES
- Medium of instruction is English language.
- Students will sit for the LWTR examination at the DCA at the end of the program.
